The Future is Now:
An Overarching Look at Sports Betting

Since 2018 there has been rapid growth in sports gambling options and opportunities. It is difficult to go through a day without seeing, hearing, or experiencing an advertisement or opportunity to bet on sports. This training will explore the rise and growth of sports betting across the United States and in Pennsylvania, a review of how to recognize when sports betting becomes a problem for someone, approaches to addressing sports betting from prevention, early intervention, and counseling perspectives, and an introduction to the world of sports betting and its unique language.
